Meet Mr Circuit At The Facilities Show

Our very own Mr Circuit – the electrical testing industry’s one and only superhero – will be out and about at this year’s Facilities Show, the world’s leading event in facilities management, held this year at ExCel in London from 17-19 June.

We’ll be there to back him up, too (well, even a superhero sometimes needs a break) and we’ll be launching the latest service in our portfolio – lightning protection testing and maintenance. Did you know that lightning strikes the ground in the UK over 300,000 times a year? That’s why it’s vital that lightning protection is in place for structures over 5 metres in height. The consequences of lightning strike are considerable – not just the initial strike and current surge but also the consequent risk of power outage and fire.

Regulations state that these protective systems should be inspected and tested annually. Our new service is carried out by qualified electricians and includes a visual survey of the installation, checking the earth resistance and all joints and bonds for signs of corrosion, verification of electrical continuity and provision of a detailed report covering the installation and any necessary remedial works.
